This week the first graders listened to a spring-themed picture book, My Garden by Kevin Henkes.  This beautifully illustrated book captured their imaginations when they created their own magical gardens!

Website Evaluation of Dog Island

The fifth graders are helping me decide if I should send my dogs to Dog Island when I go on vacation in April.  I explained to my students that I went online to find places that could take care of my two dogs, Hooch and Vegas.  When I found this website I couldn't believe that such a place could exist!  My husband and I never liked leaving them in a kennel and it's hard to ask a family member to babysit two big dogs!  I've enlisted my fifth grade classes to help me evaluate this site based on the 5 W's of website evaluation.  To get to the blog where students are posting their persuasive comments, click on the link below.
